So, we built a solution - The Candid Connector on Salesforce.

Why did you decide to build the Candid Connector by ImagineCRM?

The initial version of the Candid Connector was developed in response to a client's request to integrate the Candid API for Charity Check into Salesforce, enabling compliance and audit functions within their Salesforce environment. As we worked on this project, it evolved to address additional needs from other clients who sought similar functionality and new features. These enhancements were designed to streamline compliance management and leverage existing data from Candid profiles of grantees and potential partners, ultimately saving time and improving efficiency.

What is the Candid Connector by ImagineCRM?

A custom integration on the Salesforce Lightning Platform to sync Candid's data to Salesforce using Candid's APIs. 

This interface to Candid's data is easily accessible to clients and compatible with Essentials API, Premier API (with demographic data), Charity Check API, and Charity Check PDF API.

Clients are able to streamline workflows, auto-populate nonprofit applications, enrich their account data and update key indicators for current grantees. Through this tool, our clients access Candid's data that provides the information they need to make strategic decisions and cover compliance functions in an automated way.

What organizations are currently using it? 

We have over 40 organisations using the Candid Connector by ImagineCRM and we now have rebuilt a Candid version 2.0 which is in Beta through the end of this year.

  • Ability to search for EIN by organization name and address if you purchase the Essentials API, making it faster and easier to find your organizations

  • It has the same great uses as Candid 1.0: compliance and audit checks, financial information, addresses and more flexibility!

  • The Candid Connector prevents you from using different systems to collect core grantee information, such as 990s or Tax determination letters.

  • It makes pre-grant due diligence easy. Instantly look up a nonprofit to check their eligibility to receive tax-deductible contributions and save reports or get automated alerts as you go.

  • Receives coding and taxonomies pre-built into your grant-making system to classify your grants better.

  • Allows you to pre-fill information and not have to ask your grantees or staff to, therefore saving precious time.
