What we’re excited about in Winter ‘22

Winter is just around the corner, so that means Salesforce’s Winter ’22 release is about to drop. Grab a pumpkin spice latte, turn on the fireplace, and settle in. Here’s what we’re looking forward to…

Einstein Search

You might not know about Einstein Search’s great features, but that’s about to change! With Winter ’22, Einstein Search will be on by default for all organizations.

Einstein Search gives more power to the standard Salesforce search capabilities with an added interface. Einstein Search offers: Personalized search results for each user, natural language search, and actionable results allowing users to take action right in the search console.

Changing up our trusted search bar sounds a little scary, but we are sure that you’ll come to love it in .005 milliseconds.

Dynamic Gauge Charts

You probably don’t have the same goals as your colleagues, so why should you have to have the same dashboard metrics?

With Dynamic Gauge Charts, you can add gauges to your dashboard that respond dynamically to your dashboard filters. Now you will be able to precisely track your metrics and goals using the targets that are most important to you.

Mobile App Personalization

Do you use the mobile app and wish that you could get to your most important data right when you open up the app?

Now, with Mobile Home, you can personalize the home screen in your app. Each end user can personalize with the content that they care about most, right in the app. Whether that’s your dashboard, your calendar, or any object’s record details that you care about, it can be added right to the new homescreen.

Restriction Rules

We know that your data is sensitive and often, you only want some users to see certain records. Previously, this was all handled through sharing rules that applied to everyone in your org, and then custom exceptions for different groups of users.

Now, you can use Restriction Rules to expose certain records to different users within your organization. Simply select the user criteria and the records you want to share and you’ll be up and running. You can show records based on field criteria, meaning you have complete control over record visibility, without needing extra record types or other complex workarounds.

All about FLOW!

Over here at ImagineCRM, we love Flows. Flows are much more powerful than Process Builder or Workflow rules, and with a little training, anyone can build flows without writing a single line of code!

With Winter ’22, Salesforce is giving us a lot of new features with Flow. Here are some of our favorites:

Custom Button Labels

Do you hate being limited to only using Previous, Next, Finish to navigate? What about a more descriptive call-to-action? Well, now we can customize the button labels to give our users more clarity on what the action is going to do next.

Flow Start Screen

Flow Builder has come a long way in the past few years, from a hybrid declarative/code  tool to a robust point-and-click automation solution. Still, it always seemed like the admin instructions were confusing.

Now, your Flow start screen will be a bit clearer. You’ll know exactly when your automation is going to run and what is going to trigger it. Maybe a small change but we sure appreciate the clarity!

Flow Screen Choices

You’re probably getting by now: we love Flow. And we love choices, but we hate adding choices to flows because it takes so long to add every…single…choice to our flow. No more! With Winter ’22 we can now add choices right to the picklist, which means faster building and less frustration.

Flow Debugging

OK, last Flow highlight: Debugging.

No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. We all get excited to see our creations in action without checking that everything was added correctly. Well, now debugging can be just as much fun as building (lol!).

Winter ’22 brings us the ability to debug record-triggered and scheduled flows, so we don’t have to create extra sample test records or set the time for ‘the next 15 minute interval, wait and then hurry to fix it before the next quarter-hour deadline passes.’

Scheduled Paths

Now, we can run scheduled-flows to simulate timing.

Record-triggered Flows

No more setting record-triggered flows live and then making changes to your records!
